Christmas gifts for GXO Logistics, Inc. employees

Updated: Nov 18

Christmas has come early for staff at the GXO Logistics, Inc. site in Cambrai, France.

They’ve taken delivery of their first batch of exosuits comprising an initial fleet of six Apogee e-exoskeletons from German Bionic.

The robotic power suits are now being used to suppor logistics workers conducting their lifting tasks such as when unloading containers. The deployment of the smart, powered exoskeletons not only means the health and wellbeing of these valuable employees is effectively protected, it also results in greater and sustainable all-round levels of effectiveness.

Congratulations GXO on your ongoing efforts to constantly improve the working conditions of your employees! 💪

At GXO we are constantly working to improve the working conditions of our employees.

The GXO Cambrai site, which ensures the logistics activities of its client La Redoute, has just installed the first batch of 6 active Exoskeletons for unloading containers followed by 3 days of training. Be Safe 😊

Today I’d like to share a post that highlights how GXO Logistics, Inc. has taken an innovative step forward with the integration of a fleet of German Bionic  Apogee e-exoskeletons at one of their newest state-of-the-art e-commerce fulfillment centers. It’s a real testament to GXO’s firm commitment to the well-being and safety of its team. And after all, ensuring that workers leave as healthy as they arrive is not just responsible; it’s visionary.

Witnessing some of GXO’s top innovation experts, Thomas Thans and Christophe Pernet, equipped with the latest exoskeleton technology is great to see. And it’s also a powerful reminder of how prioritizing health and safety doesn’t just elevate the standard of work – it can also make jobs more attractive and rewarding. Our robotic Apogee power suits don't just make tasks easier, safer, and less physically taxing; they exemplify a dedication to creating a work environment where the workforce is empowered to perform at their best without compromising their health.

I’m really proud to see GermanBionic at the forefront of this movement and how we are building a future where technology enhances human potential and improves workplace environments. We’re certainly looking forward to accompanying GXO in this journey and I agree wholeheartedly with Thomas Than’s concluding comment in his post:

"Interesting innovations to implement across more GXO sites in the region!"
