Last Friday, we had the honor of hosting Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs Dr. Fabian Mehring and Member of the Bavarian Parliament Stephanie Schuhknecht at our Augsburg offices and in-house test center. Steffen Ganders, Marius Kiss, and Joachim Fischer from the German Bionic team introduced both politicians to our smart Apogee robotic exosuits and the transformative power our technology is capable of.
The guests, both of whom have strong ties to Augsburg, didn’t just listen and observe –they made the most of the opportunity to experience firsthand how our exoskeleton technology functions in realistic scenarios. They saw, felt, and interacted with the intelligent integration of hardware and software that powers our solutions. The capabilities of our German Bionic IO platform were also demonstrated, showcasing ergonomic task and workplace analyses generated from the exoskeleton’s data – insights that support safer, healthier workplaces.
State Minister Mehring emphasized how German Bionic exemplifies DeepTech innovation by delivering solutions that are both powerful and tangible, further supporting Bavaria’s mission to continue developing in its role as a premium high-tech hub. He also highlighted initiatives that Bavaria offers to drive this vision further, such as the Bavarian Super Venture Capital Fund (Superrisikokapitalfond), which scale-ups can apply for in order to receive additional critical support for their further growth. MP Schuhknecht was also impressed and remarked on the significance of seeing such human-centered technology developed right here in Augsburg.
We appreciate the valuable exchange and the genuine interest both guests showed in the unique needs and challenges faced by scale-ups like ours. Their support reinforces our commitment to advancing human-centered, high-growth technology that’s redefining the future of work.
